Reporting to the Director Network Infrastructure & Support, the successful candidate will be resp.for the delivery of best in class power delivery performance to techn. & eng. team management & supp. the delivery of the Network Infrastructure & Support strategy. Manage & develop eng. resource & partnerships in supp. of the bus. unit ops & future strategy. Enforce eng. stds approp., ensuring product safety & QoS stds are upheld at all times. Supp. commercial negotiations by providing innovative & cost effective solutions to customer/commercial problems & ensure projects deliver compliant performance. Ensure procedures approp. supp. the need to meet statutory req's for all equipment delivered, e.g. Safety, EMC. Ensure close working with team & sub-contractors to: Work with Head of Health & Safety to understand current risks & statutory req's. Assess risks at techn. & office sites & ensure robust process for addressing safety risks. Operate & monitor activities necessary to ensure safe premises & facilities, incl. relevant Fire, Electrical, Mechanical & other safety risks. Operate effective corrective action plans to address any safety issues or legacy record-keeping gaps identified. Produce a monthly Executive Summary. Ensure techn. aspects of eng. projects comply & adhere to stds, statutory & customer req's. Maintain design processes & procedures to ensure they meet the needs of the business.Manage within capital & operating budgets meeting the needs of the bus.Supp. delivery of 90m pa capital investment programme. Directly manage 50m pa power & utility budget. Small internal team plus large outsource partner to be managed. Engage staff in the improvement of their bus. Identify & implement process optimisations releasing additional operating capacity required for growth. Deliver cross departmental network expansion, deployment programmes & product dev.Educated to Degree level in relevant (Numerate) discipline preferably Electronic Eng.& ideally some Post Graduate qualification. Chartered Engineer. Knowledge of power sys. design, build, maintenance & operation. Strong commercial & financial background preferably with outsource component.
