My client is currently looking to recruit an infrastructure engineer on a permanent basis to be based in their offices in Manchester.
You will be responsible for managing external consultants and checking their designs before they are issued for construction.
This includes road and sewer design; flood risk assessments; piling and foundation designs;
site appraisals; commissioning of topographical surveys; securing section 38 and 104 agreements; co-ordinating section 278 agreements; sewer diversions; abandonments and requisitions as we;; as co-ordinating geotechnical and structural engineers on the design of foundations, retaining walls etc.
You will be expected to attend regular progress meetings with the construction team to resolve any outstanding information and/or construction problems as well as having daily contact with the site team. Part of this work may involve site visits or producing one off details to overcome specific problems.
You will also get involved at the land appraisal stage by producing preliminary drainage designs and storage requirement calculations.
