Our client is a member of highly respected Birmingham based Engineering group offering a one-stop solution for industry and commercial construction. The Groups three member companies specialise in electrical motor maintenance, design and manufacture of electrical control panels and turn key M&E solutions.

Currently, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to control their account with a leading food manufacturer based in Birmingham, UK. The jobholder will be responsible for commercial and technical aspects of the account and will liaise with specialist colleagues to ensure the client's requirements are suitably met
The main responsibilities include:
- Overall control of all on-going projects in co-operation with Project Managers, Project Engineers and line supervisors.
- Completion of tenders ensuring quality of presentation of content including pricing and Health and Safety content. Responsible for suitability of risk assessments and method statements.
- Project Management in accordance with Company procedures and requirements. Prior to commencement, plan project including availability of resources such as labour and material.
- Responsible for work in progress and invoicing procedures ensuring suitable speed to maximise cash flow.
- Liaison with Client to include attendance at work progress meetings and Health and Safety forums as appropriate.
- Liaison with H&K local workforce and workshop to ensure works are completed in accordance with progress plan and quality standards are being achieved.
- Liaise with other Delton staff including specialist staff for mechanical, electrical, Health and Safety, HR and Finance areas.

We require ideal candidates to have good background in mechanical processes or engineering, and good working knowledge of electrical projects and/or wide experience of industrial backgrounds, preferably spent in the food sector.

Furthermore, a detailed knowledge of financial and Health & Safety legislation is required with the ability to write effective risk assessments and method statements. The post holder will have well developed man management skills and be a good communicator at all levels.
