My client is a multinational contractor predominantly involved within the oil and gas and
Chemical
Industries and due to an increase in workload are now looking to employ a sytems engineer to
Join their team
To produce the detail hardware, software systems design and documentation to fulfil the
Requirements of Engineering Contractors and End User specifications, often using hardware
From our own extensive product range.

Main duties:
Produce the Functional Design Specification and gain client approval
To generate all engineering documentation
Specify materials
Write the software to meet client requirements
Support the manufacturing phase

Job Requirements:

Good awareness of the safety and control sector, design trends, applications and standards

Hardware and Software design on PLC type systems to the IEC 1131 standard

Communication, IT and commercial awareness

Qualification to degree level or equivalent

Experience of working to IEC 61508 would be a distinct advantage
