Client currently operates an oil production complex with 17 platforms in the Al Shaheen oil field offshore Qatar. Power is generated on a central platform feeding 5 satellite locations through 11kV subsea cables.
Cleitn is in the process of expanding these offshore production facilities with 15 new platforms, including an independent power generation on a new central platform feeding new and existing satellite locations through 11kV subsea cables. This expansion is planned on stream second half of 2009.
The total capacity of gas turbine driven power generators offshore after 2009 will be 60MW.

Responsibilites;
- Define concepts, develop engineering designs, purchase electrical equipment and assist in offshore commissioning for Brownfield modifications to existing facilities.

- Provide support and trouble shooting assistance to the production and maintenance departments.

- Support the site teams in the review of EPIC contractor designs, and develop and monitor interface design between new and old facilities.

- Participate in the review and development of commissioning and operating procedures for the new facilities, including developing action plans for different electrical system upset conditions.

- Ensure that the technical content of the MOQ electrical standard specifications are up to date and technically sound, reflect the requirements.
