This role will act as Lead/Supervisor with full responsibility for project controls function for large project(s), a portfolio of medium sized projects, or possibly an office. You will typically supervise 2 to 5 project control staff on multiple projects of average, to above average complexity.

Key Responsibilities for the role will include;
Demonstrates advanced skill level and progressive experience within project controls related disciplines
Fully accountable for all aspects of their work and their Teams work and for coordinating with all relevant individuals
Exerts judgment and provides analysis of results of project controls and recommends actions to Project Manager
Monitors deviations/inconsistencies, project progress and recommends corrective action when required
Interfaces directly with external and internal clients in order to review project plans, budgets, status reports and deliverables
Mentors and coaches project control specialists. Provides effective, constructive feedback.
May serve in a functional role to educate and train other Project Control Specialist
Assists in continuous improvement of project control system and practices
Actively shares knowledge through our Clients Knowledge Management Framework (Knowledge Communities, Discussion Forums, etc.).

Competencies
To be sucessful in this role you will have strog proven competence in project control after completing undergraduate (or equivalent) education.

This could include a BA/BE/BS in Engineering, Science, Business or similar.

Training or qualifications in Project Management, Pricing and Negotiations and relevant external course work are desirable. You should also be trained on relevant project management software tools.

You should have previous responsibility for having successfully served as Lead Project Controller on variety of projects for a number of PMs where they successfully completed their project controls functions, including providing analysis to the PMs on the result of their work
Advanced level knowledge and skills with Primavera Client and Web Applications and Basic understanding of the Clients Tools is essential.
A understanding of the Clients Global Project Delivery Framework and Project Management Practices is desirable but not essential, as is an understanding of financial/accounting practices
You should be able to demonstrate skills in managing and leading teams, have good negotiation, communication, and formal presentation skills and good team working skills in working with project team members and peers.
