Process Engineer North East
Our client is a major engineering contractor with projects worldwide in Oil, Gas and Energy sectors. A vacancy has arisen for a process engineer to be located in their North East offices on a contract basis, working on petrochemical projects.

The role will involve working on approved technical investigation projects including development of computer programs as required by the line manager. You will carry out design work of a unit or units, preparing process Flow Diagrams, Equipment Specifications and Process Descriptions, in accordance with agreed project schedule.

You will ensure that requirements of Licensor's Secrecy Agreements are known and complied with in the work performed. Using the basis of design advised by make detailed calculations to develop the design and be responsible for the accuracy of these calculations. Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used conform to Client's requirements and/or those issued by the company. On request, you will review supplier's quotations from a process engineering standpoint. Participate in review of project model and assist as required in the preparation of Operating Manuals.

The successful candidate must hold a degree in chemical engineering or equivalent, with a strong background in process engineering.
