The role

NES have a Dubai based client who is recruiting experienced staff for a major project in Dubai

Required Experience/Accountabilities

The Project Manager oversees all aspects of the project using planning, monitoring and controlling processes.

The Project Manager is responsible for the co-ordination and completion of the project and to this end will perform a variety of tasks including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarising the progress of the project. The Project Manager may be responsible for more than one project at a time.

Manage concept and design resolution. Manage the value engineering exercise. Manage design audits.

Researching applicable technical standards. Manage process of quotations/ tender submittals. Together with the finance team, negotiate contractual details.

Appoint appropriate staff as may be required, contractors and consultants, delegating responsibilities among the project team. Prepare guidelines and schedules for various stages of project completion, and execute a well co-ordinate handover.

Analyse the project work break down structure. Create tools and techniques for managing the project. Measure performance against key quantifiable parameters. Manage costing and estimation exercises. Reviewing project constructability and scope of work. Manage project profitability and project scheduling.

Manage the execution of key activities like leveling, surveying, verifying drawings, quantities and calculations. Also short-list suppliers, negotiate prices for prime items, and approve order quantities of construction material.
