Our client is an international consulting business, based in the UK.
They provide an integrated range of engineering, environmental, planning and management consulting services to the transport, property, development, environmental, water and renewable energy sectors.

They are currently looking to recruit a Lead Technician on a permanent basis for their office in Manchester.

Candidates must be able to undertake production, and be responsible for the drafting team producing:General Arrangement and Detail Drawings for water related structures and pipelines; Reinforced concrete detail drawings for water retaining structures.

Your Responsibilities will include: the control of a small team of technicians as required;allocation of work within drafting team to achieve required output targets; programming drafting and monitoring progress against drafting programme; checking the output from the team and ensuring compliance with company procedures and applicable codes of practice.

Candidates should have a HNC in Civil Engineering; appropriate recent experience in the water industry, an element of which should be in a role with a similar level of responsibility; be a fully experienced AutoCAD user and have relevant reinforced concrete detailing experience.
