NES Global are actively seeking a Construction Lead for one of our major operator clients. The requirement is immediate and applicants should have the ability to mobilize within the next 3-4 weeks. The project will be the fabrication of the hull portion of a TLP Platform and will initially be based in Houston, before moving to a fabrication yard in either Europe or Asia.

The role of the Construction Lead will be to establish and execute a verification program that will ensure Contractor performs all work in accordance with contract requirements. The Construction Lead is responsible for the disciplines of structural fabrication, piping fabrication, welding, coatings, NDT, dimensional control, HVAC, and E&I. The Construction Lead will provide support as required for pre-commissioning/commissioning activities and is responsible for Hull Site Team support for loadout and marine operations.

Applicants will ideally have at least 15 years of applicable construction management experience on major oil & gas projects and at least 5 years experience leading inspection teams in the field at major offshore fabricator facilities.The contract is likely to last until March 2013 and candidates should ideally be willing to follow the project right through to completion.
