Position: Electrical/Controls Department Manager

The right candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of experience managing design and construction of electrical infrastructure projects in industrial manufacturing facilities. Experience working for an Engineering consulting firm is preferred. This individual will lead staff and must have a good understanding of medium to high voltage projects. Good client communication, coordination, and presentation capabilities as well as diverse project management skills are required. Nuclear project experience or exposure is preferred. A working knowledge of construction documentation, permitting, building systems, familiarity of process and packaging, construction methods, and detail engineering is required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10+ years experience required
- P.E. preferred
- Experience with Power Distribution, Lighting, Transmission, Transformers, Switchgear, and Motor Control Centers
- Experience with NFPA codes and standards, cable/wire sizing, voltage drop calculations, and hazardous area classifications is preferred
- Experience in the design/build of Manufacturing or Industrial facilities
- Some travel is expected

Responsibilities/Duties:
- Formulates and directs investigations, develops model and system studies, analyzes and interprets the
data obtained and recommends practical application of results
- Provides expert advice on design processes or construction methods
- Advises on the development of new engineering methods and participates in short and long-range planning
- Provides technical leadership to teams of professional and non-professional staff
- Works under own direction and interfaces directly with the client.
