OVERVIEW

The client is a leading consultant within the water industry and due to organic growth of the business within the wider environmental engineering market and award of several key contracts, they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Co-ordinator to join their West Midlands team.

The Mechanical Design Co-ordinator will be responsible for the following;

Preparation of program documents and designs

Develop preliminary design concepts

Cost estimates and recommendation of practical alternatives

Formulation of specifications

Co-ordination and integration of mechanical elements of the project

Review and approve completed designs and drawings, ensuring that standards, codes and technical requirements are met of the project

EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND

To be a qualified for this role you must have knowledge in mechanical design principles and drafting, plus equipment and methods.

As a form of team leader the successful applicant must have the ability to lead, to effectively communicate, and to delegate tasks effectively. They must be meticulous and have an eye for detail.

A degree in mechanical engineering is expected as well as proven expertise and past experience in project co-ordination and delivery of design schemes for the water industry.
