Position: Mechanical Engineer

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5+ years of relevant experience. Mechanical design experience for Industrial or Manufacturing facilities is required. Experience in Pulp and Paper, Cement and Power industries preferred. PE Certification is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- 4 Year Mechanical Engineering degree is required
- Minimum 5+ years relevant experience
- Must have mechanical design experience for industrial or manufacturing facilities
- Experience with design of heating and ventilation systems, utilities, start-up and commissioning of utilities is preferred
- Experience at a large construction firm or engineering consulting firm is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
- Prepares technical bid package documents
- Designs and specifies processes or equipment; compiles and evaluates data, makes recommendations and prepares reports
- Prepares mechanical engineering scope and estimates for proposals
- Identifies cost effective solutions to design problems
- Meets with clients to obtain project information and to discuss specific design related problems
- Provides sketches and design oversight for the development of detail drawings
