We are currently recruiting for a railway signalling Principle Design Engineer to work within my client�s busy London office. The engineer will be working on numerous projects currently being undertaken on the underground.

Role Description
Engineers will provide technical leadership and focal point for Design Authority approval. Develop strategies, scope of works and the interface definitions for the project. Assist with the preparation and integration of project principles, application specifications and system engineering manuals, method statements and work package plans for signalling stages. Ensure that a common approach is adopted across work package delivery teams in respect to signalling principles as well as process technical queries and prepare technical support and guidance. Final review all profession related aspects of the work to ensure engineering solutions incorporate the appropriate level of design and the correct application of Signalling Principles. Awareness of emerging technologies and their application to the railway. Accountable for the �Approve� Function of Railway Signalling Designs and technical outputs .Evaluate, select and apply appropriate solutions to signalling design-related problems.

Qualifications:
Educated to HNC/HND/HTC as a minimum
A Principles Designer Licence - IRSE 1.1.130
You will need a proven history of working within a professional railway engineering environment.
Experience of leading design activity on complex multi disciplinary projects from inception to final delivery.
A history of overseeing a team of signal designers
Directing virtual teams and taking 'Approval' responsibility for technical outputs
