Our client, a large rail organisation, is looking to recruit a Senior Land Surveyor to their offices in Central London. You shall be responsible for the provision of topographical surveys and ensuring that technical, safety and quality requirements are met.

You will be responsible for production of surveys and check survey calculations and technical reports. Produce estimates for work and control costs associated with delivery activities. Demonstrate compliance to standards for audit purposes.
Briefing of survey staff, method statements and risk assessments. Responsibility for safety during Survey activities, self & field teams. You will be office based, there will be the need for night visits and weekend work occasionally.

Essential
Specialist experience of high order of accuracy surveys required for surface to sub surface correlation and track geometry. You'll have experience which is directly involved in the full range of survey techniques within an operational railway environment. Minimum qualification HNC in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering. Computer literacy and CAD expertise is required together with knowledge of available software packages. Familiar with modern survey techniques, GPS, total stations, laser scanning, digital levels.
