Senior Pipelines Engineer required for long term contract position based here in Aberdeen. Candidates must be permitted to work in the UK.

Project Dimensions
FEED contracts are due to transition to execution contracts 1Q2010. The technical solution is a 4-well / 7km bundle subsea tie-back to the platform. Scheduled bundle sailaway is February 2011 with first oil June 2011.

The role:
Manage �51m 7 FEED and EPIC execution contracts.
Safe, cost effective and timely installation of caisson/riser and subsea bundle.
Effective completions and handover of contractor contract facilities.

Prime responsibilities:
Provide focused contribution towards generating project �zero� HSE culture.
Proactively drive contract HSE performance.
Participate in risk/opportunity forum, ensuring that contractors risks/ opportunities are mitigated/exercised/escalated accordingly.
Ensure design and technical integrity throughout project lifecycle.
Demonstrate transparent compliance with stated quality requirements.
Interface with client Technical Authorities, Operations and Commissioning.
Ensure topsides beds availability to meet planned implementation activity.
Contractor implementation plan milestone delivery assurance.
Manage contractor scope variations and escalate as necessary.
Monitor and maintain contract target cost.
Review and approve monthly contractor invoice.
Review and approve contractor milestone payment requests.
Attend bundle/controls FAT/site integration tests.
Participate in Apache�s asset/TAR integrated planning forum as required.

Key challenges:
Build open, honest, trusting relationships with client / contractor teams.
Assertion over contractor whilst maintaining relationship and planned schedule.
Monitor timely exchange of critical design/engineering interface data between contractor other affected contracts/project organisations.
Deliver within contract target cost.
