QatarGas pioneered the LNG industry in Qatar and currently exports 10 million tons per annum of LNG to customers in Japan and Spain. For the ongoing development and expansion projects, which will see markets served in Europe, Asia and North America, QatarGas is presently looking for a SIMOPS Compliance Lead.

a. Field based, he will liaise with OPCO, ESU, PMT�s and ESU SIMOPS Field Supervision and Operators within the SIMOPS Restricted areas
b. Assists the SIMOPS Compliance Lead during the formal audit and inspections program for SIMOPS Restricted areas (including all red blind areas)
c. Effectively communicate with Contractors to ensure their compliance with all risk mitigation requirements during construction and commissioning activities, within SIMOPS Restricted areas
d. Performs daily observation inspections of SIMOPS Restricted areas, using all tools such as (P&ID�s, SIMOPS procedures, departmental compliance checklists to ensure that all hazards to / from personnel or equipment in SIMOPS Restricted areas are eliminated or properly mitigated to ALARP
e. Monitors OPCO / SIMOPS PTW in SIMOPS Restricted areas to ensure all PTW and supporting documentation requirements are fully and properly implemented
f. Assists the SIMOPS Compliance Lead to verify SIMOPS Progression plans to ensure their validity in order to identify potential conflicts and subsequent mitigation requirements
g. Participate in SIMOPS related Incident investigations, providing assurances to the SIMOPS Compliance Lead of the proper implementation and successful close out of agreed actions
h. Verify the SIMOPS Road Impact Notices (RIN) implementation on site, recommending further amendments as necessary
i. Follow up and verify the effective resolution all field SIMOPS corrective actions from the SIMOPS Action Tracking Register.
j. Provide a daily report of his activities and findings for his area of responsibility to SIMOPS Compliance Lead
k. Participate in emergency response exercises
l. Complies with company safety, environment, and quality policies and programs and proactively intervenes, where and when necessary
