NES has issued advice to its oil & gas contractors to ensure they take measures to reduce their risk profile while on assignments in high-risk countries such as Angola, Nigeria and Iraq.
Supporting the company’s 24-hour security support service, the advice tackles a range of basic rules that should be adhered to by anyone working in countries that present a high risk of kidnapping, armed robbery and terrorism. An in-depth article provides contractors with guidance and gives their families reassurance that all necessary security measures will be taken while they are away.
“The worldwide oil & gas industry provides technical and engineering professionals with an abundance of opportunities, as well as highly appealing rates and salaries” says Nick Stocker, risk manager at NES. “The dangers that people face within some of these countries can be minimised by following some simple, yet potentially life-saving rules,” Nick maintains.
“I have issued this advice based on my own experiences having travelled extensively within many high-risk regions throughout the world and I hope that, along with the 24-hour security support number that we’ve set up with CR24, it will add value to the service offered by NES to its contractors,” Nick concludes.
